About: Tasting wine does not have to be a mystery. This crash course can give you immediate skills in order for you to explore and grow on your own. Nobody should ever have to relegate themselves to an attitude that your “palate is just not that developed.” Join us and learn strategies to help you develop these skills in a systematic procedure that can also be fun and improved over time. You will be guided by James and his friend and local Wine Maker - Meg Ruili of Flip Turn Cellars. You will enjoy many expressions of wines and get to know a methodology for keeping you in the 'wine game.' You will be given tools and tricks to guide you in either: a tasting room, restaurant or in your own home. Learn how to identify a wine as 'aged' or 'young.' Learn how to:

• Understand what you’re tasting

• Identify young vs. aged wines

• Build confidence in your own palate

This event will be held on our covered, enclosed porch with heaters. A jacket is recommended.
