Join The Flipturn Club

I started Flipturn Cellars because I fell in love with the way wine tastes better when there's food on the table and good people around it. But I also noticed something: the more I understood what was in my glass — the grape, the region, the winemaking choices — the more I enjoyed every single sip. That's what these clubs are built around.

Twice a year, I'll send you a small box of bottles I made by hand, chosen for the season. And every shipment comes with tools to drink them well — personal tasting notes, food pairing guidance, and educational resources from my wine education brand, Barrel Dork, so you can open each bottle with curiosity and confidence. The wine is delicious. The goal is to help you enjoy it to the absolute fullest.

No fuss, no snobbery. Just honest, small-batch, minimal-intervention wine — all rated 90+ points by Wine Enthusiast — from a tiny, woman-owned Oregon winery where every bottle is made by me, with the education to match.

  • "Flipturn's Cabernet Franc is garrigue personified... this wine is packed with aromas and flavors of lavender, rosemary, thyme and the saline found in a Mediterranean Sea breeze. To top it all off, there's a wonderful combination here of jazzy acidity and silky tannins. My next bratwurst in a bun with pickle relish will accompany this wine.” — Michael Alberty, Wine Enthusiast, 92 pts · 2021 Cabernet Franc

  • “Flipturn is an excellent new Oregon producer to add to your "must-try" list. Their Cabernet Sauvignon is a spicy affair that begins with dried rose petals and black pepper competing with dark raspberries and white chocolate for your aromatic attention. Tangy cran-raspberry and cardamom flavors are lively and fresh, backed by firm black tea tannins.” — Michael Alberty, Wine Enthusiast, 93 pts · 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon (Editors' Choice)

  • "The grapes for Flipturn’s Riesling are plucked from 45-year-old vines in the Columbia Gorge... After red pear, applesauce, and talc aromas open things up, flavors like lychee and pineapple-upside-down cake take over... This is a Riesling for sipping slowly, all by itself." — Michael Alberty, Wine Enthusiast, 90 pts · 2023 Old Vine Riesling

Questions? Here are the ones I get most:

When does my first shipment go out?

1

Allocations ship twice a year — spring and fall. If you join between allocations, you'll receive a welcome email and be included in the next one.

Your member discount kicks in as soon as you join and applies year-round.

Before each allocation, you will receive an email from me to coordinate pickup or delivery.

Your wine education materials will also be delivered with your first allocation.

What happens when I join? How does billing work?

2

You will receive an email shortly after joining confirming your membership.

You must enter your credit card at the time of joining. However, you are only charged at the time of allocation (when a new shipment is released), which occurs twice a year (Spring and Fall).

There are no recurring monthly fees to be a member.

Can I choose which wines I get?

3

Each allocation is hand-selected by me based on what's ready and what's best for the season. That said, if you have strong preferences, just let me know — I'll do my best to accommodate.

I want to learn your palate so I can curate better for you over time. If something misses the mark, we'll make it right.

Can I skip an allocation?

4

Yes — just let me know before your allocation window opens and I'll hold your spot for the next one.

If you wish to cancel your membership altogether, just email me before your next allocation window and you're done, no hard feelings.
